A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Bridge Foreman for our project in Lake Charles.


Responsibilities:
  • Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity.
  • Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents.
  • Oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges and other related structures, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for repairs, proper utilization, and to address any signs of abuse or neglect.
  • Actively participate in safety-related training programs to enhance skills and knowledge base.
  • Perform job site quality control checks to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications.
  • Ensure quality assurance in all phases of work, including setting forms, rebar installation, concrete placement, and post-tensioning (if applicable).
  • Monitor job site operations for compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards, including dust and noise control.
  • Actively promote a safety-conscious culture, following all safety regulations and mentoring crew members, particularly new hires.
Education/Experience:
  • High School education is required.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Foreman in bridge construction or related heavy civil work.
  • Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, including forming, reinforcing, and concrete placement.
  • Prior experience operating heavy equipment used in bridge construction is a plus.
