Johnson Bros. a Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Carpenter Foreman for our large heavy civil project located in Lake Worth, FL. Responsibilities:
Scheduling workers’ time and assigning tasks to ensure that projects are completed on time
Inspecting completed work to make sure it meets quality standards.
Coordinating with other subcontractors on large projects as needed to ensure that work flows smoothly from start to finish.
Managing daily operations, including ordering materials and supplies, hiring new employees, and scheduling work shifts
Supervising workers to ensure that they perform their jobs in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards.
Reviewing blueprints with architects or engineers to determine the materials needed for construction projects.
Setting up work sites with the appropriate tools and materials for construction projects
Reviewing bids from contractors to determine which one is most likely to meet project requirements within budget parameters.
Coordinating with architects, engineers, designers, and other professionals to ensure that construction plans meet building codes and other requirements.
Responsible for crew performance in meeting quality and safety standards
Fill out daily reports including crew member’s hours, equipment hours, appropriate cost codes, and production quantities.
Communicate effectively with Project Superintendent and Project Managers
Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base.
Perform jobsite quality control checks.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of Carpentry experience
At least 2 years of Carpenter Foreman experience
ADOT experience preferred but not required
Valid Driver’s License
Extensive knowledge of the tools and equipment involved in utility work – such as excavators, pumps, backhoes, bobcats, loaders, etc.
Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specs
Ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate crew members’ work
Certifications:
OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour)
CPR Certification
