Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated civil construction professional to join our team as a Project Engineer in Gresham, OR.
Duties:
Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible
Assist Project Manager, Quality Control Manager & Superintendents with entry level engineering tasks, material take-offs, work plans, submittals, estimates, etc…
Prepare baseline scheduling. Schedule basis documents for approval by project teams
Assess impacts to critical path and near-critical activities, report to project team
Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the developing alternate methods for corrective action
Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis
Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule
Resource load schedules as required by the project team
Perform job-site walks to verify physical progress of scheduled activities
RFI's drafting subcontracts, purchase orders and negotiating contract pricing to come in under budget
Schedules on Microsoft project or Primavera
Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Ability to communicate verbally and electronically in an educated and professional manner with owners and engineers
Ability to manage and schedule deliveries from suppliers
Ability to schedule and coordinate subcontractors
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
3–5 years of pipeline/concrete construction scheduling experience.
Proficiency in Primavera P6, contract specifications, and construction sequencing.
Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
